Transylvania is a game developed by Penguin Software in 1982.
The setting is an enchanted forest, with a cemetery and a castle.
The aim of the game is to find and save Princess Sabrina before the vampire, who holds her captive, kills her (at the stroke of midnight).
The main enemies to face are a werewolf, who moves in the forest, and a vampire, who wanders inside the castle.
In addition there are a goblin and a witch.
While the first two monsters have a chance to kill, the third and fourth only complicate the game’s solution.
The plot develops through commands on the keyboard, but there are graphic and static screens that represent the environments and objects and that correspond to the textual descriptions shown.
The interaction takes place through simple two-word commands or with the use of the cardinal points north, south, east, west, up, down to move from one place to another.
