Transylvania is a game developed by Penguin Software in 1982.
The setting is an enchanted forest, with a cemetery and a castle.
The aim of the game is to find and save Princess Sabrina before the vampire, who holds her captive, kills her (at the stroke of midnight).
The main enemies to face are a werewolf, who moves in the forest, and a vampire, who wanders inside the castle.
In addition there are a goblin and a witch.
While the first two monsters have the ability to kill, the third and fourth complicate only the solution of the game.
The plot is developed through commands on the keyboard, but there are graphical and static screens that represent the environments and objects and that correspond to the textual descriptions reported. Interaction occurs through simple two-word commands or using the cardinal points north, south, east, west, up, down to move from place to place.
